Regional Development Programme
RDP (Regional Development Programme) has been designed to support career development and opportunities for musicians all over Ireland on a County by County basis.
In collaboration with local Arts Offices all over Ireland, we are analysing the needs of musicians, organising professional development panels based on those needs and supporting them in writing a bespoke Music Plan for each county with their Arts Office, shaped by the needs of the artist.
STAGE 6
We’re now inviting input on the workshops from artists based in Longford, Westmeath, Laois and Offaly. The purpose is to better understand where you are in your career, as well as your current aspirations and the support you need to progress. Fill in the survey and we’ll send you links to join the live, online panels.
All panels are FREE.
As a national resource organisation, we’re committed to serving musicians across the whole island of Ireland. This new project focuses on providing equal access to professional development opportunities nationwide and on building stronger local support systems for artists. Working with local arts offices, we’re offering a high-quality professional development series for musicians and creating opportunities for you to share your ideas on what supports would best help you grow your career.
We are now 19 counties in to this project and recently we hosted panels covering topics such as Artist Management, Media Outreach, Sync and Music Supervision, Record Labels, Social Media Marketing and more. These stages supported musicians based in areas such as Cork, Limerick, Cavan, Leitrim, Mayo, Galway and many more.
If your county has not been included yet, there is no need to worry. We are continuing to expand the programme and plan to reach all counties in Ireland in future stages. Please contact your local Arts Office or email us directly if you would like this for your County stevie@firstmusiccontact.com
