First Music Contact presents

Dean Arts Seminars

During our residency at The Dean Arts Studio, we expanded our professional development series to ‘in-real-life’ activity with free, once-a-month professional development workshops.

The Dean Arts Seminars are professional development workshops for musicians and those working with artists to help develop their careers. We also use Dean Arts Seminars to offer a platform to other organisations in the Irish music community.

This free-to-attend series of panels has included hosts such as AIM Ireland, Minding Creative Minds, SelfMade, TikTok and MPAI - all initiatives, panel discussions and network opportunities we are proud to support and amplify, centring around panel discussions and network opportunities. FMC looks forward to facilitating these conversations.

First Music Contact has now moved out of The Dean Arts Studio. We want to extend our thanks again to the studio for giving FMC, Ireland Music Week and Music From Ireland a home for two years. In particular, we would like to acknowledge all the continued hard work of Kate Farnon, Studio Director at The Dean Arts Studio.

Having launched the Dean Art series of professional development seminars for musicians as a result of our residency, we will honour this opportunity by continuing the Dean Art Seminars in The Workman’s Club, Dublin. The first of the series in its new location will take place on Monday 29th of July, so save the date and stay tuned for more details.
